It is the best of times.......

I am sitting at the Baum's beautiful beach home listening to Todd play the guitar and sing "How Great Thou Art". It takes me back to San Bernardino Church when I was a child hearing Rune Johansson sing that wonderful old hymn. It just doesn't get better than this!
It has been a little over a month since Rhonda, Todd and the kids moved in with us to begin the adventure of home school/travel. Ironically, when my children were little I used to dream of how to take them out of school and travel for a year but back then home school just seemed irresponsible and then there were the practical issues of work and finances! I am so glad that Rhonda has figured it out and that we can help and participate in this adventure. I love it that our teacher friends at Loma Linda are also excited about this adventure and are contributing their support and ideas.
My top 10:
1. Having my grandchildren around 24/7.
2. Listening to Rhonda persuade Braeley to practice piano (can be a 2 hr. ordeal) and Bella to change her sheets (it took 45 minutes!)

5. Educational experience planning--wait! Is that the same as vacation planning?
6. They don't have to leave quickly to get the kids to bed on Friday "Wil" nights. I get to listen
Todd play the guitar and Rhonda play the ukulele until late.
7. Rhonda's good cooking! I would rather clean up than cook!
8. Getting to tuck Bella and Braeley in at night and listening to Bella's prayers.
9. The two cats-------wait, no! They belong on the other list...... I assumed that they would be
living with the coyotes by now!

God, indeed, How Great Thou Art! Clearly, these are the BEST of times! My only fear is that it will be over too soon.
